The 2nd International Festival of Amateur Photography “My City" will be held in Murmansk, Russia from October 1, 2007 till December 19, 2007. The Festival is a joint effort of Non-Government Non-Profit Ecological Fund ‘Tri Kita´ and Nikolai Zholnin´s Photo Studio under the patronage of The Murmansk City Administration. One of the major goals of the Festival is to further develop and strengthen the relationships between Murmansk and Northern Scandinavia. We hope this people-to-people initiative will help to promote a better understanding and respectful attitude toward the history, culture and traditions of our countries. More information about the Photo Festival you find here: http://www.kootzworld.com/ Vladimir Kuts is known in Murmansk as the Founder and President of Non-Government Non-Profit Ecological Fund ‘Tri Kita´ (since 2005 to the present), the CEO of TV company ‘BLITZ´ (1998 — 2003), author of a number of TV projects in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Great Britain and General Consulate of Great Britain in Russia and the founder of ‘The International Photo Festival — Amateur Photography in Murmansk and its Sister Cities´ (2005). Nikolai Zholnin is a professional photographer. Nikolai is the Laureate of the Murmansk regional and the Russian national photo exhibitions. He also took part in many international exhibitions in US, Norway and Poland. Some of the best photographs by Nikolai Zholnin are kept in private collections in US, Norway and Latin America. A number of his photographs were bought by the Murmansk City Administration. The First International Photo Festival — Amateur Photography in Murmansk and its Sister Cities was held in Murmansk in 2005. The press called it ‘the biggest photo forum in the Region for the past 50 years´.
