From reindeer sled to regular daily coach travel

The Barents Road is an ancient trade route, along which people have journeyed on foot, by reindeer sled or horse and wagon. In modern times, the automobile has become the most common mode of travel in the Barents Region, but the choice is still yours.

As of summer 2003, regular daily coaches have been in service between Bodø, Norway and Murmansk, Russia.

Several airports along the route, some of them international airports, even make the area accessible for travellers from afar.
